Dr. Janda grew up in the Lower Mainland, relocating to Surrey during his late high school years. He embarked on his dental career in 2008, earning a Dental Hygiene Diploma from the Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene in 2009. While working as a full-time dental hygienist in the rural community of 100 Mile House, BC, he furthered his education and obtained a Bachelor of Dental Science (Dental Hygiene) from the University of British Columbia in 2013.
Fueled by his passion for dentistry, Dr. Janda continued his studies at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, from 2017 to 2021. He graduated with high distinction in 2021, earning both a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and a Master of Dentistry. His dedication and academic excellence were recognized through several accolades, including the Dean of Dentistry Commendation Medallion in 2021. Dr. Janda consistently made the Dean’s Honour List throughout his five years of study and received multiple Academic Excellence Awards. In 2018, he was elected as an International Student Representative, showcasing his leadership and commitment to the dental profession.
Known for his kind and gentle demeanor, Dr. Janda adopts a prevention-focused approach to dentistry, earning the appreciation of his patients for his compassionate nature and dedication to providing high-quality care. He is an active member of the British Columbia Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association, maintaining good standing with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Janda enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Gurp, and their daughters, Alyza and Alyvia. He is passionate about fitness and can often be found working out at the gym, running, or hiking. Additionally, he loves to travel, with Mexico and Hawaii being among his favorite destinations.
